As I was browsing through Nykaa.com, I came across this product and it immediately caught my attention. I couldn't resist myself from purchasing it.

This brow palette contains almost everything you need to tame your eyebrows and make it bulletproof as it promises.

About the product:

• Brow palette comes in 3 different shades to suit all brows : fair-medium, medium - dark, extra dark - black. I have medium-dark brow palette which works best for my brows.
• This palette contains 4 eyebrow powders ranging from mid brown to dark brown which is perfect for Asian skin tone, two eyebrow was shades - one brown and one dark brown, eyebrow enhancing cream, a brow-bone highlighter, eyebrow pencil in dark brown, mini tweezers, one mini flat brush applicator and one mini angled brow brush at a cost of Rs. 1750/-.
• The palette is of the same size as that of their blush palettes and it comes with a big size mirror in the lid which helps to carry during travelling and has a glossy black packaging which makes it look very classy.

My views:

All the shades in this palette are super blendable and they gives a very natural look to my brow. 

The arch defining creme is best to gently neaten up the edges and to  give a crisper and a sharper look to my brows. 

I am not a big fan of highlighting my brow-bone, but if you like then this kit also comes with a shimmery highlight in pale pink.

Mini tweezers helps to get over with excess hair specially when I am bored to get my eyebrows done or when I am travelling.

Packaging is amazing and very sturdy. 

Eyebrow pencil that comes along with this palette is the prefect dark brown that can match any Asian skintone. 

Brushes are of good quality and there is no shedding of hair.

Overall, this is a brilliant palette packed with loads of brow choices to suit every person and very pocket friendly. So, its definitely worth buying!! 

Review Time - Clinique: All About Shadow Single!!

I couldn't resist myself from buying this cute case from Sephora, Mumbai last December. And now-a-days eye makeup looks are the biggest 'in' thing. 

The whole aura of any eye makeup look - be it smoky & sultry or simple neutral depends on quality and the pigmentation of the eye shadows and I must say that I swear by Clinique for their eye makeup. 

I usually opt for warm colours like browns and pinks but I was ecstatic to see how this colour made me look gorgeous in just no time. Keep reading to know more about this.

About the product:

All About Shadows are long wear powder eye colours by Clinique in soft matte, soft shimmer and super shimmer. This graphite eye shadow is grayish purple in colour, extremely vibrant and super shimmery. True to colour, deep saturation & smooth coverage makes these shadows prefect for every occasion. These are also Ophthalmologist tested for the most sensitive eyes & contact lens wearers.

Why this?

What attracted me to this, is its cute slim silver petite case with a mirror and a sponge applicator which makes it travel friendly.









My views:

• These shadows are super pigmented and extremely vibrant.
• Use it alone or team it up with your other favourites, to get a dramatic eye look.
• I love to use this shimmery shade to the outer corner of my eyes and to my lower lash line to create a dramatic smokey eye look. It gives an intense colour pay off in one gentle swipe with nearly nil fall outs.
• The texture is so creamy that it glides on in just one stroke.
• I highly recommend these to oily skin people as these shades stay all day long even without a primer, so no creasing, no flaking and no fading.

The only disadvantage of this product is that it isn't pocket friendly but nevertheless I'm impressed, truly I am!!

Summer Makeup Haves!!

Summer ☼ is in full force and the temperature outside is getting a little too hot & with hot weather, comes a change in our makeup products!

I love a good summer glow, so these are my few summer haves....

1. Maybelline Fit Me Matte & Poreless Foundation (Shade - 230 Natural buff) 

I love using this foundation for my base as I have a combination skin and my t-zone tends to get really oily.  It has a perfect creamy texture and is matte, which is best for everyday wear specially in this weather. Very affordable and a hydrating medium to high coverage oil free foundation. It is extremely lightweight & blends very easily making my skin look so naturally bright as if  I am not wearing any makeup. I like to use this foundation with a damp beauty blender to get a perfect base. You may also use a  brush or blend it using your fingers.

2. Mac Studio Fix - Pressed Powder (Shade - NC 40)

I just cant live without this setting powder as it controls oil very well and thus improves longevity of a liquid foundation under it. I love to set my base with this powder by gently dabbing the product with a puff on the areas of my face which tends to get oily during the day. Just perfect for the summers!

3. Mac Casual Lip & Cheek Colour (Shade - Hi Jinks)

Hi Jinks is a bright coral blush with warm undertones that comes in a pot wih a luminous finish. I prefer to use cream based products as they make my skin glowy & fresh and there is nothing more easier than using a cream blush. For a quick fresh look, MAC Colour is something that doesnot crease, easy to blend, super pigmented and stays in heat as well. This is just a perfect one if you need an instant glow to your cheeks and nice pop of colour to your lips. 
4. Lakme Absolute Sun-kissed Bronzer 
This product is from Lakme Absolute Illuminating makeup collection designed by Sabyasachi and the first Indian brand to launch a bronzer. It comes with two warm bronzing shades, highly pigmented with fine shimmer that perks up my complexion. It adds beautiful radiant glow and warmth to my face. Since the time I tried this, I am in love with this!

5. Colourbar Cream Touch Lipstick (Shade - 012 Nude Coral) / Estee Lauder High Intensity Lip Lacquer ( Shade - Melting Sun)
I like to implement glossy lips as they go well on glowy skin and for summers and my top 2 favourites are from the Colourbar and Estee Lauder. An orange coral shade is my perfect pop of colour for this summer.  The colourbar lipstick is super creamy as its name says and gives a very smooth lustrous shine to my lips where as Estee's melting sun is a premium lip lacquer which is richly pigmented to create a luscious, wet, 6-hour colour brilliance look. These shades perfectly suit my complexion and brighten my look.

6. Maybelline Eye Studio Lasting Drama Gel Liner 

This is one of my favourite eyeliners and the best thing about this is that it comes with a brush of its own. The texture is very soft & creamy and glides very smoothly. It is quite pigmented hence a single stroke is good enough to get that intense black finish. The colour payoff is equally commendable for the waterline. It is matte which is best for this season.

7. Clinique High Impact Mascara

It is very hard to get disappointed with Clinique mascaras. This one is an incredible mascara which not only magnifies my lashes to twice its size but also adds maximum volume. Specially designed wand that resists flaking and smudging. This mascara is very jet black, absolutely smooth and does not crumple up on my lashes & stays on for nearly the whole day. 

8. MAC Cream Colour Base (Shade - Improper Copper)

This is a multipurpose product like Hi Jinks, which can be used as a highlighter and as an eyeshadow. It has a very creamy, soft light weight texture which makes it very easy to blend and apply. When used on top of the cheeks and brow bones as a highlighter, it gives a very nice dewy shimmery glow. It gives a very radiant look in just no time. 

9. Makeup Revolution pro Fix Oil Control Makeup Fixing Spray

I always end my makeup routine with a setting spray to help blend all the makeup nicely together. This pro fix spray helps to keep my makeup in place for a longer time and protects against heat & humidity. It leaves a beautiful natural looking luminous look to my skin which I absolutely love and helps my makeup stay for long. To get a perfect matte flawless finish to my makeup in summers, I use this spray before applying foundation as well, in this way I get best results in terms of controlling oil. This is a must have product specially during the hotter months.

As I have already mentioned this is my earlier post, sunscreen is the most important part of our daily skincare routine. Be it summer, winter or rainy; sunscreen is a blessing to our skin!

My take on this product:

The product is white in colour and is thick & creamy in texture but at the same time super light and gets absorbed quickly without leaving any residue on the skin. It does not make my skin greasy or shiny, infact I love the matte effect it brings on my skin which makes my skin makeup ready. A pea size product is good enough to cover your face and neck, and the tube lasts for quite a long time. It doesn't have a very strong fragrance which I love the most. I have been using this daily since 2 years now and I have never experienced any breakouts. My skin texture has improved and it has prevented me from getting tanned, which makes it best for all the seasons specially for tropical countries like India . 

This is one of the best sunblock I have come across and I would highly recommend this product for daily use.✌

A perfume is a must have in any woman's vanity. Reunited with my summer favourites!!

Carolina Herrera - 212 VIP Rose Perfume

"It is said that a woman's perfume tells about her more than her handwriting". 

Priced at Rs. 3050 /- for a 30 ml bottle, this one is my most favourite perfume after Versace. It has fresh, sensual and a feminine fragrance which is very captivating. Top notes reveal sparkling touch of champagne, fresh & slightly fruity but at the same time very sophisticated and elegant.

It's a perfect perfume for every occasion and for someone who is looking for a sweet, fruity feminine scent.

I haven't found any perfume pleasing my nose more than this one specially for summers. So definitely go for it!!

How to prep your skin?

Want your makeup to stay longer and look flawless? Follow these 3 simple steps under your everyday skincare routine...

Step 1: Cleansing

Nothing like applying makeup on a freshly washed clean & clear face. So, cleanse your face using a deep cleanser or a deep foaming face wash according to your skin-type daily. Cleansing helps in deep cleaning the pores and removing all the dirt, dust, oil and impurities from your face. I have a combination skin, hence only my t-zone tends to get oily. I like to use The Body Shop Tea Tree cleanser or a Ponds Flawless White deep cleaning foam on a daily basis.

Step 2: Exfoliating

Exfoliating or scrubbing is nothing but rubbing or washing your face with a granular substance to remove all the dead skin cells, blackheads and whiteheads from your skin; to make it feel youthful, beautiful and glowing. It is important to exfoliate atleast twice a week. Without a granular exfoliation, you can end up with clogged pores, which can block moisturizer from getting into deeper layers making your skin look dull and unattractive. I like to use The Bath and Body Works sugar scrub or St. Ives green tea scrub. If you cannot buy one, you can also make a diy scrub at home by using sugar and olive oil or coconut oil. Massage your face gently using this mixture.

Step 3: Toning

Exfoliation opens your pores and a now comes the role of a toner which helps to tighten them & get rid of any excess oil. Toning helps to maintain the PH level of your face. You can use it by spraying it directly on your face or on a cotton pad by swiping it it across your face. I like to use Dabur rose water on a everyday basis. It is very affordable and is available easily. 

Review - Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Concentrate!

This post is a detailed review post on Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Concentrate - Recovery Boosting Treatment.

By December 2016, my face started looking too dull and my dark circles scared me so I laid my hands on this product which was gifted to me few months back by one of my cousins from Canada. After reading a lot of reviews about this online, I decided to try it out.

The Advanced Night Repair Concentrate Recovery Boosting Treatment is a 21-day treatment from Estee Lauder that claims to " take the weight of the world off your skin". 

Can it be true? Lets see...

• This product comes in a opaque bottle with an eye dropper dispenser to maintain the antioxidant ingredients. It's main ingredients include Amentoflavone to fight irritation and Linoleic Acid, Cholesterol and Wheat Bran to strengthen the skin. Bifida Ferment Lysate is important for decreasing bacteria's on the skin. And it contains tons of antioxidants to repair and protect damaged skin.

• It is a water based product. Very runny, light and absorbs quickly. It leaves no greasy sheen or finish and soaks into the skin easily. The texture is silky and yet easy to work with but its scent is simply horrid (comes with a strong medicine like smell).

• The cost of this product is a wee bit expensive Rs. 4500/-  for a 30ml bottle, but I overlooked all of that because of its RESULTS. It delivered what it promises. 

• My skin has definitely improved after using it for 21 days. My face felt soft, glowing, supple and brighter when I woke up. It has definitely improved the texture, feel and the overall appearance of my skin. My dark circles have visibly reduced and so have my blackheads. Now, my makeup actually looks flawless and I no longer have to 'pile it on' to cover my imperfections. 

The only disadvantage of this product is that it's too expensive and now discontinued. Estee Lauder has replaced it with their new Advanced Night Repair Synchronized Recovery Complex Products.

I would highly recommend this to all those woman who often face problems with dry, dull, patchy skin and who crave to have a healthy glowing skin in just no time.
